Here comes a collection of violin concertos featuring the talented Simovic, long-time concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra, as soloist. Rosa and Bartók, both difficult pieces that require high tension, technique, and a high level of musicality. Rosa's Violin Concerto op. 24, also known as a composer of film music such as "Ben-Hur," was composed in 1956 at the request of Heifetz. The work, which was premiered by Heifetz, is a difficult piece that requires high tension and high technique, and is full of beautiful melodies and fascinating rhythms. The LSO led by Rattle brought out the full energy of the work, and Simovic played freely and passionately. Bartók was conducted by Edusei. Edusei was born in Germany in 1976 and has been the Chief Conductor of the Munich Symphony Orchestra since 2015, where he is known for his dramatic improvement of the orchestra's performance. A specialist in contemporary music, he is a notable figure who has released numerous recordings on WERGO. Simovici was born in Montenegro.He studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Marina Yashvili. He has been the concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra since 2010 and is highly respected by the orchestra's conductors. His instrument of choice is a 1709 Stradivarius. King International
