Fire Walker" is the debut album by Marion Walker, alternet solo oboist with the Christiansen Symphony Orchestra. Prokofiev's "Quintet" for oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, and double bass is in six movements: "Theme and Variations," "Andante energico," "Allegro sostenuto, ma con brio," "Adagio pesante," "Allegro prezipitato, Ma non troppo presto "Andantino," written in six movements in the "chiming divertimento" style. Jon Øyvind Ness is one of the leading contemporary Norwegian composers. He is known for his original conception of music based on his interest in British and American "pop" music and culture, and for his "wordplay" titles such as "The Dangerous Kitten" and "Dandy Garbage". The Dangerous Kitten" and "Dandy Garbage".The "Baelthraek" from "Quartet for Oboe, Violin, Viola and Cello" and the "Baelsith" from "Concerto for Oboe and Sinfonietta" are named after the common "Bael" (flame), which has a similar meaning to "fire power" and "flame journey," respectively. Co-performer Sara Åvinge is concertmaster of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, with whom she recorded the violin concerto by Philip Glass and Šetil Bjerkestrand (LWC 1255). Anders Lensvik is the deputy principal viola player of the Oslo Philharmonic. Ingvir Hafskjöll, clarinet, Gunnar Haughe, cello, and Marius Flatview are members of the contemporary music group Ensemble Ernst. Tokyo M-Plus
