Produced by J Maskis, a close ally of Buffalo Tom, the second album by Buffalo Tom is being reissued in color to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release! The long out-of-print second album "Birdbrain" by Buffalo Tom, one of Boston's leading alternative bands who were active in the early days of US grunge and alternative music along with Dinosaur Jr, Pixies and Pearl Jam, will be reissued in mint green vinyl in limited quantities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release. Buffalo Tom, formed in 1984 by Bill Janowitz, Chris Colborn, and Tom McGinnis, became a top 10 band in the U.S. in the 90's, and has been active for a long time. J Maskis of Jr. and Sean Slade of Radiohead's "Pablo Honey" fame co-produced the album. The band's steadfast three-piece sound, bursting with melodic sensibilities and thunderous 90s alternative riffs, has taken a giant leap forward, and the album features 10 tracks, including the title track "Birdbrain" and "Enemy," which are still extremely popular at live shows.This is a work that will go down in the history of US alternative music, with core fans calling it a masterpiece filled with many of the band's best songs.
