Little Feat is an essential band in the history of rock—one of the premier live acts of the 1970s, boasting immense popularity with their bold and funky rock sound that absorbed various influences ranging from Southern R&B to boogie and country, and known as a key contributor to the great evolution of California rock. Formed in 1969 around Lowell George—a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of rare talent—Little Feat released nine studio albums on Warner Bros. Records between 1971 and 1990. With their overwhelming style and sound, they remain a “cult” band with passionate fans all over the world. To date, they have released studio albums such as *Sailin’ Shoes*, *Dixie Chicken*, *FEATS DON'T FAIL MEN NOW*, and *THE LAST RECORD ALBUM*, as well as the legendary live album *WAITING FOR COLUMBUS*, have been released as deluxe editions. Now, to mark the 55th anniversary of its release this year, their landmark debut album is finally being released as a deluxe edition! Formed in 1969 around Lowell George—a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of rare talent—Little Feat released their debut album, *LITTLEFEAT*, in 1971. As the first work from a band that continues to influence countless artists as a key contributor to the great evolution of California rock, this deluxe edition features not only the tracks from the original album but also a wealth of previously unreleased alternative versions and outtakes from early recording sessions on a bonus disc. While a 2-LP vinyl edition of this album will be released as a limited-edition item for Record Store Day 2026, this 2CD edition will be released as a general retail release.
