World premiere recording with period instruments! Monieuszko's opera "Paria"! Stanislaw Moneuszko (1819-1872), the great Polish composer of the 19th century, is also known as the father of Polish opera, having created such national operas as "The Ghost House" and "Halka". He is still highly regarded for his achievement in developing "opera" in Poland, which Chopin, who also lived in the 19th century, did not touch. The three-act opera "Pariah," which took about 10 years to compose and was completed in 1869, is a unique work that is set in the Indian caste system, but the music is purely Polish. The opera was performed by Fabio Biondi & Europa Galante at the "Chopin and His Europe" Festival in 2023, and was also performed to great acclaim in Japan in 2022.
