In 2006, Jeff Beck did not release any new music, but he did go on a world tour for the first time in many years, playing only 30 shows. As part of this tour, he performed at the "North Sea Jazz Festival 2006" in the Netherlands on July 14, 2006. The live performance was recorded for a TV program and broadcast as a special program in European countries. This live album is based on the sound recordings used for the broadcast, and includes the complete performance, including two encores. Only the bassist differs from the later release "Live Beck '06 (original title: Official Bootleg USA '06)," and in this album, Jeff Beck's guitar technique can be more clearly appreciated. Also, you can hear the instrumental version of "People Get Ready," a vocal number that Rod Stewart sang on Jeff Beck's "Flash" album.This live album, which includes an encore jam session with jazz bass giant Stanley Clarke, with whom Beck has performed several times, is a must-have for fans of the band.
