Since his solo debut in 1947, Miles Davis, the king of the modern jazz scene, has continued to create new jazz music at the forefront of the times, including cool jazz, hard bop, mode jazz, electric jazz, and hip-hop jazz. Even after his death, he continues to influence musicians in various genres, and is greatly respected by them. This is a rare archive of Miles Davis's live recordings that have never been released on CD. This is a recording of the September 25, 1987 performance in Long Island, New York during his 1987 European tour. The alto saxophonist is Kenny Garrett, who was with Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers in 1986, Ricky Wellman on drums, and Adam Holtzman and Robert Irving III on keyboards. On bass is Darryl Jones, known for his support of The Rolling Stones, plus Joe "Foley" McCreary on piccolo bass.Percussionist Mino Sinel and other members of the band are also featured on the album.
