Tangerine Dream has been active as a standard-bearer of Krautrock (German rock) since 1970, and has continued to influence various music genres such as , , and . Tangerine Dream has been active in the world music scene since its inception. Tangerine Dream's first UK tour in 1974, after signing a contract with Virgin Records, was recorded and broadcast by popular BBC Radio DJ John Peel, a supporter of the band, for his program on November 20. The concert in Glasgow, Scotland on November 20 will be recorded/broadcast for BBC Radio's popular DJ John Peel's program. The two numbers performed at this concert are improvisational in nature, and since it was the time when the band moved from the Ohr label (Germany) to Virgin Records (UK), they used more organ and mellotron than synthesizers, and it is a rare opportunity to see Tangerine Dream creating a new musical style. This is a valuable live archive of the period when Tangerine Dream was creating a new musical style.Also included as a bonus track, "Atem" is the title track of the 4th album released in 1973, and is a valuable archive as it is the first live appearance of Tangerine Dream from this period!
