Akira Minato made his debut in 1980 on the Tecchiku Records label. As a pupil of Toru Funamura's top disciple, Masu Taki, he released "Omokage" and "Tabi no Koi Uta" (written and composed by Masu Taki) as his first singles. The title track of Akira Minato's first single for Nippon Crown is a cover of "Tabi", which was released by King Record in 2015 and sung by his former teacher, Masu Taki himself. Akira Minato sings the song with full of melancholy on the moody melody of triplet rhythm. Akira Minato, who respects Asahi Kobayashi, breathes new life into this classic song with his unique singing style. The other song on both sides is "Nape," a previously unreleased song that Akira MInato has cherished. The first chorus of the song - "I'm going to be an umbrella for you, I'm going to be an umbrella for you, I'm going to be an umbrella for you, I'm going to be an umbrella for you..." is very touching...
