Nagisa Tanaka graduated from Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo with first prize in the "Suoni d'Arpa" International Harp Competition in Italy in 2022, and won the first prize in the Felix Godfrois International Harp Competition in 1974. She won the third prize at the Felix Godfrois International Harp Competition in Belgium.First prize at the 2019 Osaka International Music Competition, Hiroshi Matsuo Prize, Leopold Beran Prize, and the scholarship at the Cupfellet Music Festival; second prize at the 2019 Japan International Harp Competition (Professional Division); fourth prize at the 2018 Korea International Harp Competition (Young Professional Division); 2018. Rencontres Internationales de la Harpe en Île-de-France 3rd Prize, and the Governor's Prize at the 2017 Fukui Music Competition. This album was recorded in Vicenza, Italy, in the fall of 2023 as a complimentary prize for winning the harp competition in Saluzzo, Italy, in the summer of 2022 (the first Japanese winner). The recording contains works mainly derived from operatic transcriptions and dances composed from the late 18th century to the end of the 20th century.This diverse repertoire is performed on the exquisite "Iris Natural" model of the world-renowned Italian company Salvi Harps, which specializes in harp design and craftsmanship, highlighting the technical and musical brilliance of this exceptionally talented Japanese harpist. *Recorded November 2023, Basement Studios, Vicenza, Italy (Tokyo M-Plus)
