The 18th International Chopin Piano Competition, held in October 2021, was postponed for a year due to the new coronavirus, but the extremely high level of talent gathered from all over the world, and the success of the Japanese contestants and the worldwide online streaming of the competition made it an unprecedented event. The competition was also boosted by the success of Japanese contesters and the worldwide online streaming of the competition. The live recording of Minyu Shindo, who made it to the third round of the Chopin Competition in her first attempt, has been released from the Blue Series, a series of record-breaking live recordings of the competition released on the independent label of the National Chopin Institute of Poland (NIFC), the organizer of the competition. Born in 2002, Miyu Shindo is a pianist who is currently enjoying a surge in popularity. On the advice of Dan Tai Son, she moved to Russia to hone her skills at the Central Conservatory of Music attached to the Moscow Conservatory, and won the Silver Prize (2nd prize) in the Special Division of the 45th Pitina Piano Competition in 2021.At the 18th Chopin Competition, she continued her strong momentum, and at the age of 19, she showed a mature performance, surpassing the first and second rounds of the competition. Although he narrowly missed advancing to the finals, he scored the highest of any Japanese participant in the third round (semi-finals), following Aimi Kobayashi and Kyohei Tanda.
