Description:
Two travelers encountering a storm and what they see in the temple where they take shelter... "La fresque" means fresco painting. This ballet was created for 10 dancers based on a Chinese fairy tale about a man who falls in love with a picture of a girl on the wall. The girl is danced by Japanese ballerina Yurie Tsugawa. The choreography by Angoulin Preljocaj, known for his fusion of classical ballet tradition and contemporary dance, is supple and powerful, using the dancers' bodies to the utmost limit. The dancers dance to the minimalist music of Nicolas Godin, a member of the French electro-pop duo AIR, and the entire stage exudes an exotic atmosphere, creating an intoxicating world. Naxos Japan
