Description:
FLOW" (OC1826) and "NOW" (OC1897) were born from the fusion of jazz and renaissance. Lute player Axel Wolff and saxophonist Hugo Siegmet expressed their unique world on these two albums. In this album, they offer a unique interpretation of Schubert's "Winterreise". There are no singers here, only the text is recited. The words, sometimes sung, sometimes mumbled, are colored by improvised melodies on lute and saxophone, freely arranged from the original. Although Schubert's melody is used only in fragments, it effectively depicts the empty yet deep darkness that the composer must have wanted to express.
