Livia Teodorescu-Shocenia is a Romanian female composer. She studied piano at a local conservatory and received a scholarship from the Romanian government to study in England from 1998 to 1999. She has since returned to Bucharest, where she is a professor at the National College of Music, focusing on music education in Romania. His works are mostly piano pieces, and he is known for his strong devotion to Chopin's works, as in "Nocturne No. 8" on this album, which uses Chopin's Nocturne No. 8 in its original form as material. The album also includes other unique compositions, among them "Homage to Charlie Chaplin," which is full of a sense of humor. She is also an accomplished pianist, having visited Japan in 2015 to perform the Japanese premiere of "Nocturne Nocturne," and she shows off her great skills on this album as well. Naxos Japan
