The 1966 album Love, Strings and Jobim (subtitle: The Eloquence of Antonio Carlos Jobim) is often discussed as a Jobim-credited album due to his prominent placement in the title and on the cover. However, it is actually a compilation featuring multiple Brazilian musicians performing new-generation bossa nova/ Brazilian jazz. Jobim's role is primarily as a "composer," contributing to two of the twelve tracks. Released internationally by Warner, it features production by Aloizio de Oliveira and Ray Gilbert, with arrangements and conducting by Lindolfo Gaya and the young Eumir Deodato.
