Nunoya's performance on the marimba is also a masterful one, carefully depicting the passion and melancholy of the piece. At the time, he was puzzled, saying, "It is outrageous to play a piece written for other than the marimba on the marimba. However, as soon as he started arranging "Libertango," he fell in love with Piazzolla, and from that moment on, he was driven by the desire to produce an album of Piazzolla alone.
