Description:
Piano version of Beethoven: Violin Concerto! This is a collection of relatively rare works by Beethoven and Mozart, and the combination of a famous singer and a highly competent conductor makes for a very fine CD. Beethoven's triplet "Tremble, you reckless bastards" was composed around 1802, when Beethoven was studying stage vocal music with Antonio Salieri. Although the lyrics are in Italian, the arrangement of the baritone who seems to be the villain and the soprano and tenor who seem to be husband and wife or lovers is very similar to "Fidelio," and there is no doubt that the experience gained here was put to use three years later. It is a hidden masterpiece by Beethoven. Mozart's "Fear not, my beloved" was written for Nancy Strache, the soprano who sang Susanna in the premiere of "The Marriage of Figaro. Mozart played the piano in the premiere and played an active role. Beethoven's arrangement of his own violin concerto into a piano concerto has probably become one of the most popular piano concertos in recent decades, and Beethoven's own arrangement alone has a different charm from the original. In Beethoven's triple and Mozart's Rondo, the Israeli-born German diva Hen Reiss sings wonderfully. Also in the triplets, the famous Viennese baritone Paul Armin Edelman (younger brother of the Edelman brothers) has a splendid presence. Javier Negrin, who plays piano in Mozart's Rondo and Beethoven's Piano Concerto, was born in the Canary Islands, studied in London, and appeared at the Wigmore Hall in 2004. Vienna-born Thomas Rösner is the most popular mid-career conductor in the German-Austrian scene today. He is the artistic director of the Beethoven Philharmonic in Vienna. Listen to this CD and you will be amazed at his abilities. Recorded in Liszt's birthplace, Riding, Austria (formerly Doborjan, Hungary). Tobu Land System
