Yoko Ono’s landmark album *Season of Glass*, released in June 1981—just seven months after John Lennon was shot and passed away—is being reissued on analog LP for the first time in 45 years. The “45th Anniversary Edition” LP features a new remaster from the original tapes and is available on limited-edition white vinyl. The artwork has been reproduced as faithfully as possible to the original release, and the package includes a "bonus poster" along with a new booklet featuring previously unpublished photographs. The Japanese edition features a round obi strip with a grapefruit as the eye-catching design. It also includes new liner notes. This fifth solo album reached the Top 50 on the US album charts at the time, earned four stars from Rolling Stone, and was selected by Pitchfork as one of the “200 Best Albums of the 1980s.” The album features a collection of sincere, loving, and at times heart-wrenchingly harsh songs centered on themes of love, loss, anger, and fear. It ruthlessly captures her own experiences and stands as a counterpart to her 1970 album *John’s Soul, Yoko’s Heart*. It is now widely recognized as a powerful artistic statement depicting grief and loss, and is considered one of Yoko Ono’s greatest masterpieces. Every December 8th—the anniversary of John’s murder—she continues to post a cover photo on her social media showing John’s bloodstained glasses, along with the number of people who have lost their lives to gun violence since that day (the bonus poster included here features this latest version).
