A collection of works centered on Bach by the Opus 4 Trombone Quartet “With Bach in Leipzig” A performance centered on Bach by the Opus 4 Trombone Quartet. Opus 4 was formed in 1994 by members of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. J. Richter, who served as principal trombonist of the Gewandhaus Orchestra for over 25 years, and D. Lehmann, the orchestra’s current principal trombonist, have been members since the ensemble’s founding. Most of the pieces were arranged by Jörg Richter, who plays the alto and tenor trombones.
