The newest addition to the series, which has made a splash with reworkings of D'angelo, Kendrick Lamar, and Portishead 7" releases, features Kero One comrade DJ Lafufu reworking tracks from Q-Tip and Rappin' 4-Tay. The fourth release in the 7" series from Play It By Ear, the label run by Kero One, a rapper/DJ/producer who once gained popularity here in Japan as a standard-bearer of jazzy hip-hop. This time, DJ Lafufu, who is a close friend of Kero One, takes charge, reworking Q-Tip's 2000 single "Breathe and Stop" from his debut solo album "Amplified" and Rappin' 4-Tay's 1994 G-funk classic "Players The A-side features Sylvia Striplin's "Give Me Your Love," and the other two double-sider 7" tracks have a mellow, light disco feel.
