Description:

Charlie Parker's last masterpiece is now available on Bird's Nest with additional bonus tracks! As the title suggests, this album features Cole Porter's music. The second session took place in the last year of Charlie Parker's life, and he passed away before the release of this album. The LP version includes four bonus tracks. The LP version includes four bonus tracks, all of which are so melancholy that they will make you cry...It is a privilege to see our legacy continue and people still admire our artifacts."─ Peter Saville (2019) Liverpool, where the Beatles were born, London, where the punk movement took off, and Manchester, England, which has become known as a city of cutting-edge music not only in the United Kingdom, but throughout the world, as it has become an even bigger swell. One of the major factors in making this land known as a music city was the now legendary UK indie label, Factory Records, which was founded by Tony Wilson, a journalist who had hosted music programs for the BBC and Granada TV, a Manchester-based TV station, and his partner, Alan Wilson, who was also a musician. The label was founded in 1978 by Alan Erasmus, Tony's partner, producer Martin Hannett, and artwork/designer Peter Saville. The label established a unified sound and visual style, assigned catalog numbers not only to recordings but also to posters and artwork, continued to support artists' free creative activities, and opened a big hole in the post-punk British rock scene with a policy that did not fit into any existing system. The label is truly worthy of its "legendary" name.To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of this legendary label, an exhibition of Factory Records will be held in the UK from September 13th to October 25th, and the label's catalogue from FAC 1 to FAC 10 (including posters, 7" singles, stationery and sound recordings) will be reissued. In the UK, an exhibition of Factory Records was held from September 13th to October 25th, and a box set "USE HEARING PROTECTION: FACTORY RECORDS 1978-1979" was released exclusively on the UK online site, which reissued the catalogs from FAC 1 to FAC 10 (posters, 7" singles, stationery, sound files, etc.). Now, a new box set "FACTORY COMMUNICATIONS: 1978-92" consisting of 8 analog vinyl discs will be released! This limited edition analog box set contains all 63 tracks from the 4-CD set of the same title, which was released in 2008 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the label, on 8 analog vinyl discs. The collection covers a wide range of artists, from the tracks on the FAC-2 sampler "A FACTORY SAMPLE" to the label's last single, "Sunshine & Love" by Happy Mondays (catalog number FAC-372-7), and includes many rare recordings. This album covers a wide range of artists and includes a number of rare recordings, and is a reminder of the tremendous importance of the label in the history of British music. Through the soundtracks of artists who worked at Factory Records, such as Joy Division, New Order, Durutti Column, Happy Mondays, Electronic, A Saturn Ratio, Selection 25, and Northside, the history/life of this legendary indie label is experienced. This 8-CD analog box set offers a taste of the history and life of the legendary indie label through the soundtracks of artists who worked at Factory Records, including A Sertoun Ratio, Selection 25 and Northside. The booklet includes an English liner by Paul Morley.
