Description:

Ingrid Andres, a young singer-songwriter whose talent is blossoming in the sacred land of American music, makes her debut! The musicianship she learned at Berklee and honed in Nashville has resulted in a "good pop album"! Warner Music Nashville, which has produced many talented rock/pop artists who cannot be described only within the framework of country music, has now brought out a lovely, talented young lady. Her name is INGRID ANDRESS. She is a singer-songwriter from Denver, Colorado, now based in Nashville. Her debut album, "LADY LIKE," is her first release, and she is still in her twenties. She has studied piano and drums since childhood, studied songwriting and performance at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and in 2016 won the "Unsigned Only Music Competition," a Nashville music award that seeks out new, unsigned artists, She was advised by Kara DioGuardi, a major songwriter who has written songs for Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Enrique Iglesias. She has since relocated to Nashville, where she has been credited as a songwriter and co-writer on Charli XCX's "Boys" and songs by Alicia Keys and Sum Hunt, and in 2018 was named one of Country Music Television's (CMT) "Next In 2018, she was named one of Country Music Television's (CMT) "Next Women Of Country 2019," and even before her album debut, her talent was already highly acclaimed. Ingrid began her career in Nashville, the home of country music, but she says she's not too concerned with genre. While fascinated by Nashville's emphasis on storytelling and songwriting, she was also greatly inspired by the emotional and experimental elements of pop and hip-hop. As a result, she honed her songwriting skills in both fields, country and pop, in Nashville and Los Angeles. When you have a good concept, it doesn't matter if it's pop or country," she says. I'm proud to call myself a Nashville artist, but I don't want to be pigeonholed into any particular genre. But I love living in Nashville because it's always been growing and it's still the songwriting capital of the world. You'll understand what she means by her "genre-agnostic" attitude. For Ingrid, the only thing that matters is whether the music is "good music" or not, not the genre.
