Following the success of their 2010 album "Brothers," which became their breakthrough No. 2 album in the U.S. and won three Grammy Awards, "EL CAMINO" was released in December 2011 and is their seventh studio album in total. Recorded in the spring of 2011 at Dan Orbach's Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, a sacred place for American music that the Black Keys, who formed in Akron, Ohio, have made their new home, the album follows the success of their previous two albums ("ATTACK& It was co-produced with Danger Mouse, who also produced the previous two albums ("ATTACK&REELEASE" and "BROTHERS"). The album, which produced the up-tempo rock 'n' roll number "Lonely Boy" and singles such as "Gold On The Ceiling" and "Little Black Submarines," debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. album chart, marking the second consecutive No. 2 album to reach the No. 1 spot in the U.S. It was also the second consecutive No. 2 album to reach No. 1 in the U.S. It was also nominated for six Grammy Awards at the 55th Grammy Awards in 2013, winning in three categories: "Best Rock Album," "Best Rock Performance," and "Best Rock Song. The album was nominated for BRIT Awards and NME Awards in the UK as well as the US, and the band even played their first show at the NYC Hall of Fame, Madison Square Garden.EL CAMINO", undoubtedly one of the most important albums of The Black Keys (tickets sold out in just 15 minutes, and additional shows were also sold out), has been remastered to celebrate its 10th anniversary! This "Super Deluxe Edition" of four CDs includes the original album on CD 1, previously unreleased live material from Portland, Maine on CDs 2 and 3, and a live studio session from the 2012 BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe session on CD 4. CD4 contains a live studio session from the 2012 BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe session and a session recorded at Electro-Vox Studios in Hollywood in 2011.
