Her wonderful performance and unique programming in the collections of works by Hartmann (CDA67547) and Roslavets (CDA67637) released on Hyperion, and her performance in the 2005 Japan tour broadcast on NHK-BS attracted a large audience in 1985(!). Alina Ibragimova is a Russian-born female violinist. The third release from Hyperion, following the much-talked-about Hartmann and Roslavets, is the extraordinarily impactful Shimanovski! The Polish star Ibragimova was a giant star who changed her style several times during her life. Ibragimova's collection covers the early Violin Sonata Op.9 (1904) to the late Lullaby of Aitako Enia Op.52 (1925), and beautifully expresses the sensual, mysterious, exotic, and other aspects of Szymanowski's world. A charming and shocking Shimanowski played by a lovely Russian fairy who descended with Pietro Guarneri's violin in her hands. This is terrific. Tokyo M-Plus
