The three-piece Genesis band, now stronger than ever, set new sales records with each album release, and their 1983 album "Genesis" reached No. 9 on the U.S. album chart and was awarded a quadruple platinum disc. The Mama Tour" was limited to North America and the U.K., and was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 27 of the same year. The Philadelphia show on November 27 of the same year was recorded and broadcast on a local FM radio station for promotional purposes. This time, the audio master for the broadcast was found and remastered for release. Phil Collins is a frontman with a strong presence, Mike Rutherford is an assured guitarist, and Tony Banks shows off his abilities as a musical director.
