The complete audio master of the April 10 performance in Manchester, recorded for television broadcast but never released, from Kate Bush's only tour titled "The Tour of Life," which consisted of 29 shows in the UK and Europe in April and May 1979, has been discovered. Granada TV, the only commercial TV station in the U.K. at the time, recorded it as a special program and as material for the record company's release products. The set list of the day included 26 songs, including a poetry reading by Kate's brother, John Carder Bush, who is also a poet. However, Kate Bush herself was not satisfied with the recorded audio product, let alone the video recording of the day, and it was not broadcast, nor was it used as an audio product. A video work (11 songs) and a mini-album (4 songs) based on the material recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London from May 12 to 14 will be released at a later date.Now, 40 years later, the band has finally discovered the audio master of Granada TV and released it as a live album. Compared to the video work released at the time, this live album contains by far the most songs from the 1st and 2nd albums, and even the songs from the 3rd album, which was not released at the time, are performed in different arrangements, making the performances on this live album an astonishing and moving archive for Kate Bush fans without a doubt!
