Coupling reissue of the Impressions' 1966 and 1967 albums led by Curtis Mayfield! The Impressions, a prestigious R&B chorus group known for its members Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler, released their 1965 hit "PEOPLE GET READY" in 1966, the year after the classic 60's R&B song "PEOPLE GET READY". High" and 1967's "The Fabulous Impressions" are coupled. The former is a classic Northern Chicago Soul album, and the latter is arranged by our good friend Johnny Payette. Both albums feature a full lineup of slow, medium, and up numbers, and both are superb. Commentary: Takatsugu Arai
