Slowly's Masato Komatsu and Ryo Kawahara have launched their chill-out alias, Lost Weekend! And suddenly they have released an album! Lost Weekend is a fictional soundtrack to a weekend lost to the Corona disaster. The mellow melodies are muted and endless, and the soundscape is lo-fi with dubby effects. The band pulled out a variety of materials from their vast drawer and created this collection in one fell swoop. The mellowness of "Lost Weekend Suite" is the highlight of the album. The exotic and moody samples of "Sunshine is Golden" and "Sweet Thing" are impressive, followed by "It's Not Over Yet," a reworking of the smash hit "Not Over You" under the Slowly moniker, and finally, the original "It's Not Over Yet," which was performed on Chic by Robert Wyatt, a well-known performer of the original. Wyatt's famous performance of "At Last I Am Free" finishes the album. A new masterpiece of exo - Balearic and chill-out music is born.
