Gota Nishidera

Description:

NONA REEVES' Gota Saidera's fourth solo album "HEARTBREAK" is now complete! Here is the culmination of Gota Saidera's 40 years of songwriting! Gota Nishidera (NONA REEVES)'s fourth solo album "HEARTBREAK" (his previous album "SUNSET RAIN" was a cover album). From "BABY LOVER," which Ken Tomita arranged and produced from a demo tape he hummed when he was 12 years old in 1985 (already shown on "Tamori Club"), to his latest co-write "MUSIC BOYS," which was his first one-on-one collaboration with his friend and ally, Yasuyuki Horigome. This work is a condensation of his 40 years of songwriting history. Co-producer is Tomoya Yamagata, a guitarist and engineer who is Saidera's trusted right-hand man. Away" is a smooth mellow masterpiece with producer Yuudai Ohi (SANABUGUN.), his musical partner from the previous album and bandmaster of NewJeans (now NJZ) in recent years, tracing the modern R&B lineage of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and others. The new generation of Kansai-based trackmakers, "Kamino the Funk," teamed up for the vibrant new jack swing song "Love Trap (I Know I Wanna)"; "Hey Mr. Beat," the latest form of the "danceable melancholy groove" that is the Gouta Saidera style; "1987," a mysterious instrumental that revives the mid-1980s synclavier sound with a new interpretation; "Heartbreak," a soul ballad dedicated to Quincy Jones; and "Soul Ballad," a golden classic from the mid-1980s. The mysterious instrumental "1987," a new interpretation of the synclavier sound of the mid-1980s, "Heartbreak," a classic soul ballad dedicated to Quincy Jones, and "Holding Back the Years," a Simply Red classic produced by Manabu Miyakawa. The album is a retrospective and ongoing masterpiece that embraces the popness of all eras, while also weaving in covers. The jacket was photographed by photographer Shinya Kato on the beach in Santa Monica, LA, where he visited for the funeral of Tito Jackson, guitarist for The Jacksons and The Jackson 5.
