This is a collection of Mozart's masterpiece "Grand Partita" with works by Salieri and other wind ensembles (German Harmonie Musik, Italian Armonia). Salieri's "Armonia for the Temple of the Night" is for a mechanical device installed on the ceiling of the "Temple of the Night," a villa built in Schönau near Vienna by Baron Peter von Braun, who conceived Beethoven's "Fidelio. The Armonia Ensemble is a group of musicians who have been working with Salieri for many years. The Armonia Ensemble is a wind ensemble formed in 2000. The performance was very impressive, and I was surprised to learn that they are members of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, in other words, the wind instrument section of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
