Kero One, aka Kero Uno, who has made a splash with his D'angelo and Kendrick Lamar remix 7", has now reworked two Portishead songs, "Glory Box" and "Roads". Kero One is a rapper/DJ/producer who once gained popularity here in Japan as a standard-bearer of jazzy hip-hop. Following D'angelo and Kendrick Lamar's Remixes, Kero One has reworked two tracks from the classic first album "Dummy" by Portishead, a Bristol group that represented trip-hop in the 90s, along with Massive Attack and others, and is well known to hip-hop listeners. The A-side transforms "Glory Box," one of Isaac Hayes' best-known songs, from the cinematic mood of the original into a floor-ready Afrobeat style, while the drums and other bottom part are solidified and the clever synth work creates a more atmospheric atmosphere. electronic reworking B-side.
