Here's the set from the phantom Japan show! Dream Theater's February London show is recorded in its entirety in "Distant Memories - Live in London" The latest live release from progressive metal giants Dream Theater, "Distant Memories - Live in London". The world tour with their first album "Distant Over Time", released in February 2019, started in March 2019. After a European tour in early 2020, the tour schedule was completely scrapped by COVID-19 just as the band was about to embark on a tour of Asia. Japan was originally set for May, but the replacement show in October was cancelled as a result, a shocking situation for the fans. In the face of such unprecedented circumstances, the band began work on a new album as soon as the tour was canceled, in order to give fans as much enjoyment as possible. This live album was recorded on February 21, 2020, just before the last day of the European tour, at the Iventim Apollo (formerly the Hammersmith Apollo) in London.The show is divided into two parts, with the first part focusing on new songs from "Distance Over Time" and the second part being a complete recreation of the 1999 classic album "Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory," commemorating the 20th anniversary of its release.
