Description:
Don & the Goodtimes were an important Northwest Rock 'n' Roll band formed by Don Gallucci of the Kingsmen. From the early days of the band's garage sound, which became a representative band of the Northwest Rock 'n' Roll scene that flourished in the late 1950s and 1960s along with the (Fabulous) Wailers, the Ventures, Paul Revere & the Raiders, and others, to the Sunshine Pop/Jack Nitschke hit "I Could Be So Good to You", the Good Times have been a major force in the Northwest Rock 'n' Roll scene since the late 1960s. This collection features some of their best-known songs from the early days when they sounded like a garage band to the sunshine pop/soft rock period when they had their hit "I Could Be So Good to You" by Jack Nitschke. The collection includes their early songs "You Were Just a Child," with its dynamic sound, killer bridge, and exploding fuzz bass, "I'm Real," their most punk song, and the rough and dirty instrumental "Make It," the B-side of their first single, a killer organ garage track. and other songs from their transition to pop, including the aforementioned hits.
