He started playing in bands at the age of 13, appeared on live TV, toured Hawaii as a guitarist in Bobby Freeman's band at the age of 15, became a songwriter at the age of 16, had his first hit single in 1960, toured with Alan Freed (the godfather of rock and roll and popular He played on Alan Freed's (popular DJ and godfather of rock 'n' roll) package tours and made several appearances on American Bandstand.) This anthology is filled with the brilliance of his youth and adolescence, which he left behind during his short career as the frontman of the "Au Go-Go's" after a bitter experience in the music business, perhaps due to his youth. From his early rock 'n' roll singles, in which southern rockabilly influences were passed through the urban forter of San Francisco youth, to the folk-rock of the mid-1960s after his reemergence as the frontman of the "Au Go-Go's," the collection contains a rare collection of representative songs, unreleased songs, acetates, demos, and outtakes. Included in the collection.The CD includes four additional bonus tracks.
