Description:
Daria van den Berken was born in 1979 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and entered the Rotterdam Conservatory's class for talented young pianists in 1990. After graduating from the Amsterdam Conservatory, she studied at Indiana University with Menahem Pressler, and also with Murray Peraia and Leon Fleischer. 2007 she made her debut with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2012, she organized a successful concert series that combined a presentation on the origins of music and other topics to reach out to non-classical music fans, which proved extremely popular in the Netherlands and elsewhere. The concerts have been extremely popular in the Netherlands and other countries. Her motto is "pure enjoyment of music," and her approach was to start from scratch without any musical expertise. She first played Handel and succeeded in expressing the ups and downs of intense emotions.This project, titled "Key to Mozart," is an extension of that project, and the album is filled with plenty of her inspiration.
