Seether: Formed in South Africa in 1999 under the name Saron Gas, the band changed its name to Seether when it moved to the United States in 2002 to avoid confusion with Sarongas. The band has released nine studio albums to date, the latest being "The Surface Seems So Far" (September 2024). This is their fifth studio album, originally released on May 17, 2011. Produced by Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, etc.), the album debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. album chart (Billboard), It debuted at #1 on both the Alternative Albums chart and the Hard Rock Albums chart, and later earned a gold disc. The multiplatinum lead single "Country Song" was a huge hit, reaching #1 on the U.S. Rock Songs Chart and #12 on the Alternative Songs Chart.
