ATLANTIS is a German blues hard rock band formed by Inga Rumpf (vo) with Jean-Jaques Kravetz (key), Karl-Heinz Schott (b) and others from FRUMPY after FRUMPY broke up. ATLANTIS was formed with Karl-Heinz Schott (b), etc., and released 4 studio albums in '24 from MIG-Music in Germany. CD1 contains their debut album "ATLANTIS" (1972) and "IT'S GETTING BETTER" (1973), CD2 contains "OOH, BABY" (1974) and "GET ON BOARD" (1975), and CD2 contains a bonus track from their original album, "Good Friends" from 1974. CD2 contains two additional bonus tracks, the '74 single "Good Friends" and the '75 single "Mainline Florida", which also appeared on the Polydor version of "OOH, BABY". The master is a newly remastered recording by Johannes Schreibenreif.The '72 album is a British-style organ hard rock album with Inga Rumpf's soulful vocals, and is more authentic and funky than the later FRUMPY albums. The '73 album, which is a high-quality funk-rock album with a great groove, features rhythmic playing led by drums/percussion, the '74 album, which is a light and catchy performance and melody, and the '75 album, which is a swing back to the organ hard line like the early albums while inheriting the style of the previous album after a change of members. Both of them are must-listens for fans of FRUMPY and German hard rock!
