The main concept of the album MIRRORS is the female protagonist. It juxtaposes a deep intimacy with Handel's arias with arias of related characters from Handel's contemporary operas. Album concept creator and musicologist Yannis François says of the "MIRRORS" album, "The listener can experience the different appearances of the same character, as if looking through a broken mirror." The songs are composed with rich contrasts and variety, thanks to Janine de Beeck's extraordinary ability, and combined with her colorful voice, the result is an enchanting experience for the listener.
