The works of Shabelle, who studied under Kodaly and was active in England. He studied at the Liszt School of Music under Kodaly, and remained good friends with Antal Dorati, who was one year younger than Scheibel. This album contains Scheibel's works for string orchestra and for violin and piano. Scheibel came to England in 1935 to avoid Nazi persecution. In 1960, while traveling to South Africa to give a lecture, he was tragically killed in an automobile accident. This album contains works by Scheibel from the age of 18 to 50, and we hope you will enjoy the works of this 20th century Hungarian composer. King International
