Born in Moscow in 1949, Korolyov is a world-renowned pianist who studied with Negus, Eugena, Oborin, and others, and rose to fame by winning the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in 1977, since which time he has performed in Europe, the United States, and many other countries. Korolyov's repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the contemporary, but he is best known for his Baroque and Classical works, and the Bach, Haydn, Mozart, and Handel works included here are his most important repertoire.
