The Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra led by Gabor Takács Nadj performs Mozart and Beethoven with great dynamics. This video shows a performance by the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Gabor Takács Názi, which was the highlight of the 2012 festival. Gabor Takács Nadj is a founding member of the Takács String Quartet and played first violin until 1992. He is currently active as a conductor and has been the music director of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra since 2007. He is also a professor at the Geneva Conservatory of Music, where he teaches younger musicians. As an orchestra that brings together young musicians, the orchestra gives a lively performance filled with energy and passion. Mozart's Symphony No. 25 is a minor symphony, which is rare for Mozart, who composed many major symphonies.This piece was influenced by the gale and is a work of such tension and darkness that it is hard to believe that it was written by a mere 17 years old. It is an excellent performance that exudes sadness and suffering in the midst of intensity and wildness. The Fifth Symphony, one of Beethoven's greatest masterpieces, is a delightful performance by Gabor Takács Nádi, whose centripetal conductiveness keeps the orchestra focused. King International
