Androu Manze's RVW!Symphony Collection No. 3 features Symphonies Nos. 5 & 6!Newly launched in 2016, Symphony Cycle, the complete symphonies of Vaughan Williams by master musician Androu Manze and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, a renowned British orchestra. The third collection includes Symphony No. 5, which uses material from his opera "Tenro Rekisho," and Symphony No. 6, which was composed between 1944 and 1947, around the end of the war, and was called a "war symphony" (although Vaughan Williams himself denied the title), due to its dynamic third movement and the quiet final movement. Both symphonies were performed at the 2012 BBC Proms by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Manze. The first (ONYX 4155) and the second (ONYX 4161) were critically acclaimed by Record Arts, BBC Music Magazine, and Diapason magazine, respectively, and Manze's Vaughan Williams has been highly praised by audiences.This is a major project that will become the new definitive collection of RVW in the 21st century and a must-see for British music fans!
