Born in Ludwigshafen, Germany in 1987 to two musicians, Josef Moog studied with Bernd Gremser, Arieh Vardi, and other famous teachers. He is one of Germany's next generation of virtuoso pianists and was awarded the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA), an international music prize chosen by critics of music magazines and broadcasters around the world. Together with the "Complete Piano Concertos" (CHAN 10814) released by Chandos, this is an important album for the revival of Charvenka's piano sonatas in the 21st century. ■And coupled with Tchaikovsky's Piano Sonata, which praises Charvenka's Piano Concerto No. 1.
