Description:
La Primavera is a period instrument ensemble formed in 1995 by musicians from various countries who studied music in the Netherlands. The ensemble's name, La Primavera (Spring), is taken from the "musical spring" that occurred during the transition from the late Renaissance to the Baroque period. 2020 will mark the 25th anniversary of the ensemble, and various projects and concerts are planned to celebrate its achievements in rediscovering the late Renaissance and 17th century Baroque styles in its diverse repertoire. The recording of this new album was made in place of various projects and concerts that had been planned, but were all cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and instead this new album was recorded. The program focuses on the repertoire of 17th century baroque works from Italy and Spain, which has been predominant in the last decade. Tokyo M-Plus
