The Plestic People of the Universe, one of the best and strongest avant-garde rock bands in the Czechoslovakian underground scene, continues to perform various activities with a strong spirit despite the repeated political repression by the Czechoslovakian authorities under communism. The first concert of the career of THE PLASTIC PEOPLE OF THE UNIVERSE was held on June 24, 1972 in Zruc nad Sazavou, a town in the center of the Czech Republic (part of the Prague concert on the 29th of the same month). Released in '25 from Guerilla Records. This is a 2LP set. The recordings were hidden in the archives of Pavel Prokes, the engineer in charge of recording the band, and now, more than 50 years later, they have been unearthed. The first two albums that recorded the band's first live performance were "Trouble Every Day" and "MUZ BEZ USI (later re-released under the title "MAN WITH NO EARS" on the Kissing Spell label)" released on the Globus Music label. Although there have been a number of other releases such as "TROUBLE EVERY DAY" and "MUZ BEZ USI (later re-released under the title "MAN WITH NO EARS" on the Kissing Spell label), there have been almost no recordings of the entire concert. In addition to Josef Janicek (key/vo) and Jiri Kabes (g/vl), who still lead their respective bands, Vratislav also includes Canadian vocalist Paul Wilson and trumpet player Jan Jilek, who was only with the band during this period. In addition to their own repertoire, the band also performed covers of VELVET UNDERGROUND and Frank Zappa. This 2LP set also includes songs not included on the CD, making it a must-have for any fanatic.
