Formed in 1986 around Perth music scene veteran KIMWILLIAMS, THESUMMERSUNS is a folk-rock to power-pop project. Alongside DOMMARIANI of THESTEMS and others, they are a hidden gem who have continued to craft high-quality melodies for a quarter of a century, ranging from fresh early guitar pop to mature songwriting. This compilation brings together all six singles released from their 1986 debut through 2011 in chronological order. These rare 7-inch recordings—which had been highly praised in publications like *Bucketful of Brains* yet were increasingly difficult to find—have been compiled into an LP format for the first time in nearly 40 years. Featuring 12 tracks that embody the ideal form of jungle pop, including "HONEYPEARL" with its refreshing 12-string guitar arpeggios, "RACHELANNE" with its bittersweet, racing melody, and "ANOTHERCARRIEANNE" with its gentle, sunlit texture. The release includes a full-color, 4-page insert featuring liner notes written by KIMWILLIAMS himself and previously unpublished photographs.
