Mike Cooper, renowned British folk guitarist, has recently been experimenting with electronic sounds and lap steel in his unique and exotic compositions. The album "LIFE AND DEATH IN PARADISE", released in 1974, is being reissued for the first time on CD/LP with live solo acoustic tracks added in 2018! Recorded in 1974 at Pathway Studios in London with LOUIS MOHOLO, HARRY MILLER, and British saxophonist MIKE OSBORNE, the album was recorded in 1974, when he was considering retirement from music. The result is a progressive, jazz, and avant-garde approach to early steel guitar and songcraft at its best. The bonus disc includes MILAN LIVE ACOUSTIC 2018, the first publicly released 2018 solo acoustic set in which Cooper returns to his early style after 44 years of pursuing free improvisation and electronics.
