Elemental Music presents Chet Baker live on two CDs of rare Paris concerts recorded by Radio France in 1983 and 1984. Elemental Music presents Chet Baker's two concerts in Paris! Chet Baker is one of the most famous trumpeters in the jazz scene. The sound sources are stereo recordings by ORTF (Radio France), and include live performances at La Esplanade de la Deux Fance (July 17, 1983) and February 7, 1984 (Le Petit Auportun). Both concerts feature the superb playing of Michel Grayer, a renowned pianist who was a regular participant in Baker's combos from 1977 until Baker's death.The 2-CD set comes in a luxurious package with a booklet containing essays by Ashley Kahn, journalist and author of "The Truth About Kind of Blue" and other well-known books; journalist Frank Bergerot; rare photographs by French photographer Christian Rose and others; and a CD with a CD of the band's music, "The Truth About Kind of Blue," and a CD with a CD of the band's music, "The Truth About Kind of Blue. The album also includes interviews with bassists Ricardo Delfra and Dominic Lemaire, longtime Chet Baker sidemen, as well as with former Chet Baker sidemen Richie Baillyak (p) and others. Remastered by Kevin Gray. High sound quality (stereo recording) with natural reverb of the concert hall can be felt.
