La Colombina is a Spanish vocal quartet formed in 1990, with a repertoire of Renaissance & early Baroque music. The musical heritage of 17th century Spain, sung by the founding members when Claudio Cavina, director of La Venexiana, was a member of the group. Spanish songs, with their origins in romance novels, folk songs, and oral dances, graced the court of King Felipe IV. This valuable collection is housed in the Bavarian State Library in Munich.
