Fabio Biondi new works for 2018! Oratorio by the great Neapolitan composer Feo! Fabio Biondi, a master of Italian classical music, has moved his recording to Glossa, where he has brought back to life in the modern age rare operas and oratorios by Caldara, Bellini, Handel, and others. His new recording project features the oratorio of Francesco Feo (1691-1761), a great composer of the 18th century Neapolitan school of music! Francesco Feo was a great composer and teacher, a close friend of the genius composer Pergolesi, and was called "comparable to Handel and Bach" and "the greatest composer of the Neapolitan school of music". The newly discovered oratorio "St. Francis of Sares (St. Francis Salesian)," a work about the Catholic saint known as the patron saint of writers and journalists, is an important work that demonstrates Feo's outstanding talent and innovative writing style. For this project, Biondi will perform with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Germany's prestigious ancient music orchestra. We revived "St. Francis of Salles" in the church of Stuttgart in 2017 with such great singers of the ancient music world as Monica Piccinini and Roberta Mameli. The excellent recording by engineer Peter Lenger of the renowned German recording team Triotnus is also a key point. Tokyo M-Plus
